A recent poll in the Washington Post was reported by ABC News about Obama’s approval rating for his handling of the BP Oil Spill.

According to the poll 69% disapprove, this is higher than the disapproval ratings given for the handling of Hurricane Katrina.

Sorry for the lack of activity lately, after the recent debacle also known as “the passing of the health care bill” I’ve just been too bummed out to feel like saying much. When the representatives we elect to act as our voice, betray us with such blatant disregard for the people’s will, it’s depressing. With that action it is now confirmed we now have no control over the “Frankenstein’s Monster” known as our government, we any longer have a say it what happens. It’s completely frightening to me that they have taken the Constitution  and blackened out the part that says ” We the people”.

Organizers hoped to have around six hundred people to protest Obama’s health care nightmare, however the crowd kept coming till it got hard to count. Estimates reported over 2000 protesters arrived and maybe as many as 2500!! It goes to show people want Obama and his cronies to shut up, and listen to what his bosses ( the citizens of this country) have to say for a change. You don’t tell us what we want or need sir, we tell you… end of story.

Under the typical confused directionless Obama administration, NASA is being put on the back burner. It seems all the technological achievements brought about through space research and the eventual economic benefits of those new technologies will be ignored like everything else D.C. is refusing to think about. Beyond that there is the psychological effect of being a world leader technologically, it seems the powers that be are forgetting you have to dream, you have to reach for big goals or else you limit yourself until you are nothing more than a “could have been” living on past glories in a run down shack. That happens to people, and it happens to countries. Let’s look forward to something, not just focus on problems and past achievements by earlier generations.

I do feel NASA needed a shake up and to re-focus it’s goals on deep space instead of near earth, but to be shelved for ten or twenty years is just stupid. Washington D.C. still refuses to learn the lesson that you can’t solve problems by ignoring them or regulating them. Becoming deaf, dumb, and blind to things doesn’t solve problems or make them go away.

The californian embarrassment known as Nancy Pelosi is once again under scrutiny for further potential lies. It’s hard to believe even californians could consider electing her to one term let alone over and over again all the years she’s been in office. It’s funny to think that the CIA is more credible than she is. What a nightmare.

These ladies were part of the Women Airforce Services Pilots program flying military aircraft for the United States Army Air Force during World War II and never got any real thanks from their country, If anything they were forgotten about for a period of time.

I’m glad the survivors are being formally thanked for all that they did, but isn’t it sad that back when they were in uniform they were not appreciated. Once upon a time this country regularly produced people of such outstanding qualities, makes me wonder why this is not true anymore. These women were heroic patriots and should never be forgotten.

I read a frightening article about a law professor that Obama is considering putting into power as a Judge. After reading the article my reaction was not a simple “no” it was “HELL NO!”.

The person in the article is said to be very intelligent, however this lawyer expressed the following beliefs about our constitution:

“Applications of constitutional text and principles must be open to adaptation and change … as the conditions and norms of our society become ever more distant from those of the Founding generation.”

He also went on to state this:

…the Constitution’s text and principles must be adapted to changes in the world

The rights covered in the Constitution are not open for negotiation. Even if they were, it is up to the legal citizen’s of this country to call for a Constitutional Convention to make changes, not a single person or small group of bureaucrats behind closed doors. I’m not thrilled that Article V allows Congress to make amendments since their track record so far is dubious at best.

The context and content of the Constitution will simply never be outmoded. There can be no scenario where the basic principles of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness could ever be construed as outdated. Among those principles is the right and duty of all legal citizens to defend those principles, armed if need be, from all enemies foreign and domestic.

Getting back to the article.. this person should never be put into a position of power, we do not need any more enemies of liberty at the head of our government, we have too many in power already.

The NAFTA treaty was a bad idea from it’s conception, I’ve been saying it since Clinton first introduced it. Once it was signed the country watched manufacturing plants jump ship left and right, killing jobs and crushing pay scales with more and more people out of work willing to take lower pay. The numbers are in and it’s obviously not good:

…..the U.S. enjoyed a $1.7 billion dollar trade surplus with Mexico in 1993, before NAFTA, compared to a $47.5 billion dollar trade deficit with Mexico in 2009.
