Katrina Policemen could face Death Penalty for murdering civilians

Several Cops could face the death penalty for murdering civilians during Hurricane Katrina. Many officers have already pleaded guilty to covering up the acts.

Five former New Orleans police officers already have pleaded guilty to helping cover up the shootings on the Danziger Bridge that left two men dead and four wounded just days after the August 2005 hurricane. In one instance, a mentally disabled man was shot in the back and stomped before he died.

Not posting much lately

Sorry for the lack of activity lately, after the recent debacle also known as “the passing of the health care bill” I’ve just been too bummed out to feel like saying much. When the representatives we elect to act as our voice, betray us with such blatant disregard for the people’s will, it’s depressing. With that action it is now confirmed we now have no control over the “Frankenstein’s Monster” known as our government, we any longer have a say it what happens. It’s completely frightening to me that they have taken the Constitution  and blackened out the part that says ” We the people”.

Anti-Obama protesters show to greet President in St. Louis

Organizers hoped to have around six hundred people to protest Obama’s health care nightmare, however the crowd kept coming till it got hard to count. Estimates reported over 2000 protesters arrived and maybe as many as 2500!! It goes to show people want Obama and his cronies to shut up, and listen to what his bosses ( the citizens of this country) have to say for a change. You don’t tell us what we want or need sir, we tell you… end of story.

Potential Judge wants to reinvent the Constituion

I read a frightening article about a law professor that Obama is considering putting into power as a Judge. After reading the article my reaction was not a simple “no” it was “HELL NO!”.

The person in the article is said to be very intelligent, however this lawyer expressed the following beliefs about our constitution:

“Applications of constitutional text and principles must be open to adaptation and change … as the conditions and norms of our society become ever more distant from those of the Founding generation.”

He also went on to state this:

…the Constitution’s text and principles must be adapted to changes in the world

The rights covered in the Constitution are not open for negotiation. Even if they were, it is up to the legal citizen’s of this country to call for a Constitutional Convention to make changes, not a single person or small group of bureaucrats behind closed doors. I’m not thrilled that Article V allows Congress to make amendments since their track record so far is dubious at best.

The context and content of the Constitution will simply never be outmoded. There can be no scenario where the basic principles of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness could ever be construed as outdated. Among those principles is the right and duty of all legal citizens to defend those principles, armed if need be, from all enemies foreign and domestic.

Getting back to the article.. this person should never be put into a position of power, we do not need any more enemies of liberty at the head of our government, we have too many in power already.

A threat to citizens’ rights.

A recent poll shows Americans believe the government is the biggest threat to citizens’ rights.

Fifty-six percent of people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Friday say they think the federal government’s become so large and powerful that it poses an immediate threat to the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens.

Throw the bums out

The United States is tired of politics as usual in D.C. and want to see major changes in big government. Citizens want a reduction in the size and cost as well as a stop to the invasion of their everyday lives. Most importantly the U.S. citizens want a government that represents the people, not special interest groups or corporations.

Passing of a legend.

Whether you liked former Congressman Charlie Wilson or not, you have to admire someone who believed in something and fought for it with every ounce of his being. If Charlie was even just a little like the character portrayed in the Hollywood film “Charlie Wilson’s War” then we lost a truly great man. The ball-less self serving wimps in Congress today could take a lesson or two from his story.

Tea Party Political Organization

The group purports to back governmental candidates that adhere to the following principles – fiscal responsibility, lower taxes, less government, states’ rights and national security.

It all sounds good on paper, let’s hope they can find candidates who not only “talk the talk but walk the walk.”

Prince of Fools

Wow found this great quote on someone’s blog page but there was no link to where it originated. Well worth posting so more people see it!

Quote:
—————–
“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

Absolutely on the money!!!

A new year and a new decade.

My hope for the new decade is that it will be the start of an upward climb out of the pit of emotional and economic despair this country has been experiencing.

We need huge changes on every level of society and in every facet of our daily lives. Let’s strive to make wiser decisions for ourselves and hope that the people we elect into office make a major paradigm shift in the way they represent us and our interests.

Small business and manufacturing have been the backbone of this country since day one. Unfortunately the piles of cash huge companies throw around has leveraged out the the individual capitalist, setting the stage for the last several decades of Corporatism. I suggest that we stop pandering to these mega-corporations that have pillaged and plundered this nation for the last fifty years and bring back true capitalism. Let’s tie these pirates up in rules and regulations to prevent them from continuing this rape of our home, and let’s free the individual by removing the barriers, taxes, red tape, and fees that have strangled the life out of us making it nigh impossible for an individual to work for themselves.

As a country and as a society we need more responsibility on the individual level and the freedom to make those choices. The last thing we need is another decade of big bureaucracy with communist/socialist delusions of of some quasi-utopia.  Let’s say goodbye to “politically correctness” and cut momma’s apron strings so we can grow up and start taking care of business.
